Most restaurant directories are just digital phone books. If you go to an online city directory looking for a place to eat, you see a handful of restaurants scattered all over town. Usually only the restaurants that paid the big advertising dollars to show up on the list.
What about when you want to know what is available in a specific part of town? What if you are traveling and want to find something close to the hotel? What if you are planning a meeting and want to hold it in a central location, but you don't know what is there?
These were the situations we found ourselves in. That's why we created TheBigFork. And that's why its better.

By street, not just by city. Traditional directories give you granularity to the metro area, but that usually isn't too helpful, is it?
